Life Groups
Overview of Life Groups

The purpose of the Life Group Ministry is to promote love and encouragement among members of the Central Church and guests.  We want to broaden our relationships spiritually and socially.  Getting to know each other better helps us know how to help and assist each other in the local church.

Numerous small groups, "Life Groups," have been formed to reinforce the spiritual and social traits which we believe nurture our growth as Christians.  These groups with 12-16 members typically meet each Sunday in someone's home.  We usually share a meal, either before or after our study.  After an icebreaker and announcements, we have singing, Bible study, discussion, and prayers.  Communion is available as needed.

Each group determines what they study, from Esther to Romans to a discussion of that morning's sermon. Each group also determines what time is best for them to meet—after church on Sunday morning, in the evening, or on another day of the week. Sometimes groups choose service projects that will help the church or the community.

Our goal over a period of time is that everyone in the church gets to know each other better. Thus, we are a church of small (Life) groups, enabling us to know and care about our fellow believers and to better serve the Lord and others.

We are always eager to have new people in our groups.  If you would like to participate, please contact Bob Sweeney (rsweeneyc@roadrunner.com or 513-467-9799) or Steve Boyd (info@sboyd.com or 859-441-4999).
