Central Ministries
Alphabet Junction - The children present various parent programs in the Worship Center & Central members usually attend & host refreshments afterward. Central actively solicits the participation by the parents and children of Alphabet Junction in all church activities. Some may be at times separate from regular worship times, such as meeting in the courtyard area to pray together on the National Day of Prayer or participating in Vacation Bible School. They are especially invited to the monthly Community Meal.

Cincinnati Urban Ministry & Outreach (CUMO) -

Evangelism - The two main components of our evangelism program are regular evangelism team meetings & home Bible studies. At the evangelism team meetings, evangelistic needs are discussed & strategies decided. A Visitor's Reception where all recent visitors, elders, deacons, and ministers are invited to a member's home is held 3-4 times annually.

Happy Wanderers - The Happy Wanderers is our senior citizen group that plans monthly activities. Whether going on out -of-town sightseeing trips, visiting another congregation, or giving assistance to someone locally, they have fun together, strengthening and inspiring each other.

Music Ministry - The objective is to serve in the ministry of music to establish an environment of praise, reverence and encouragement through song during our assemblies.  Music is a powerful form of communication expressing joys, sorrows, praise and adoration.  Our songs should reflect His boundless love and blessings in our life.

Pulpit Ministry - Several years ago, the Central congregation decided to hire a part-time pulpit minister to preach regularly as well as handle weddings & funerals. We believe that visiting the sick & teaching privately are duties of all Christians & our members take those responsibilities seriously. Many other duties often taken by a "full-time preacher" are handled by the elders as indicated in the scriptures.

Sound Ministry - In one sense, the Sound Ministry is the single most important part of what happens in any given service, for it is a basic common denominator to everything that happens.  From the beginning to the end of each service, the sound needs to complement the minister or the singing to make the message heard.  Careful attention should be given to every detail of this ministry just as a highly skilled preacher practices a sermon.  A sound system greatly aids the congregation in its worship as thoughts focus on the message being heard.  No one notices a well run sound system, they hear only the Word.

Youth & Family Ministry - Since part of our mission is to serve the children & families of the community, a full-time person is employed as youth & family minister. This person plans or oversees both spiritual & recreational activities that give young people a chance to interact with other Christian youth in a non-threatening & compassionate atmosphere, showing the love of Christ in a harsh world. Quality Time is a Monday night devotional time for ages seventh grade & up. It is organized by the youth minister & hosted by any members who volunteer.
