Central's Missions and Outreach
Bread of Life Cafe' (BOLC) is a outreach that Central has been doing for many years.

Every Wednesday evening our members come together to prepare and serve a hot meal to those who need it.  We offer a special time for the children to sing songs and learn bible facts and then a short devotional and prayer time at the end.  The meal is open to all!

Central Ohio Work camp provides a unique opportunity for teenagers to serve their neighbors by providing a week's worth of their time voluntarily painting the houses of people who are in need. For one week in June, nearly one hundred teenagers and adults spend their evenings in the dorms of Otterbein University, and then divide up into work crews painting six or seven houses.

Central's youth ministers take a group of teens each summer to participate in this mission.

Filter of Hope is passionate about raising awareness and helping solve the global water crisis. We are not a commercial enterprise, we are a nonprofit.  Filter of Hope depends on global distribution organizations and funding partners that include foundations, corporations, philanthropic families, schools, churches, humanitarian groups and young people all across the world. Filter of Hope and Global Effect lead many short-term trips each year for groups and individuals who want to be “hands on” and participate in the actual distribution of the filters.

The Way of Life Christian Camp occurs the second week of July each summer. This camp is for youth 8 - 18 and will have specific tracts for all ages. The camping experience is held at Camp Nuhop near Perrysville, Ohio. This campground, surrounded by the spacious Mohican State Forest and Pleasant Hill Lake, will accommodate traditional church camp programming while providing many other fresh opportunities and experiences.

Central's youth ministers take a large group of Central's children, adults and friends and neighbors each year.  This is a great outreach to friends of Central through the children.
The mission of planting the church of Christ in Cochabamba, Bolivia began in January of 2007.  For some time now, Central has become a part of that church through financial and spiritual support.  We are honored to play a small part of this work of sharing Christ with the citizens of Bolivia through Trish and Butch Sandoval and their church.
Let’s Start Talking’s mission and passion is to pursue Christ’s Great Commission by empowering Christians to advance the Kingdom of God in their communities and throughout the world.  Since English is in demand globally, Christians partnering with LST have a unique opportunity to show the love of Christ to unbelievers while the Word Speaks to open hearts.  The results are more Christians confidently sharing their faith and more of the Lost entering His Kingdom.

Central has two families that participate in these trips about every other year.
